Lede Press

About

A publication for products. Each page is something a person can read, with one contextual dofollow link, listed in public.

What is Lede Press?

Lede Press is a publication at https://ledepress.com. It publishes one editorial page per product. Each page contains one guaranteed dofollow link and is listed on the homepage the day it goes live. The page is free when your site displays a Lede Press badge. It is $29 when it does not, and that plan includes an article optimized for search and answer engines plus a Pinterest pin that links to the article.

A stack of blank paper, a black pen, and a cup on a quiet desk.
One page per product, written so a person can read it.

What this site publishes

A business sends the product. We edit the page, place one dofollow link in the text, and add it to the homepage. The URL stays up as the record of that placement. You can open it and see the anchor. The link does not use nofollow, sponsored, or ugc.

The full feature list is on the pricing page. Agencies often charge $500 to $1,000 for one editorial backlink on a site you do not run. This site exists so that page has a public price and a public URL.

Why the pages are written the way they are

A directory can store a logo. An answer engine cannot quote a logo.Lede Press pages are written as articles so a person can read them and a crawler can tell what the product is. On the $29 plan that writing is a specific pass: SEO for the title, summary, headings, and link, and GEO so the opening can be cited by an answer engine. The free plan is the article and the link, without that pass and without the Pinterest pin.

The other sites

The same desk publishes launch platforms. Those sites answer where to launch a product. This one publishes the page and the link after the product exists.

How a page is judged

We publish a page a person can read. We refuse a logo with a link and nothing else, a link that points away from the product, and a draft that misstates what the product does. The editorial policy is the working version of that rule. How to send a product is on the submit page.
