Lede Press
Submit a product
Send the product, the URL, and a draft a person can read. We turn it into one page with one guaranteed dofollow link.
How do I get a backlink on Lede Press?
Sign in, send the product, and choose free or $29. Free requires a Lede Press badge on your site and includes a guaranteed dofollow link on an editorial page. $29 does not require a badge. It includes the same dofollow link, an article optimized for search engines and answer engines, and a Pinterest pin that links to the article. Five free pages go live each day. A $29 page goes live the day it is ready. The homepage lists a page the day it goes live.

What you send
- The product name and the URL the dofollow link should use
- A title, a short summary, and a body a person can read
- The phrase in the body that should become the link
- Who the product is for, in a sentence, so the page can say it plainly
- The categories the page belongs in, and any tags
- Free, with a badge on your site, or $29, with no badge
The body is the publication. One link, and the link text has to appear in that body. The $29 optimization pass uses what you send. A thin draft gives the editor less to work with. Prices and the feature list are on pricing.
What happens next
- You sign in and save the listing. A draft is not public and it is not a charge.
- We read it. We can edit for clarity and for the single link, ask for a rewrite, or refuse a page that has nothing to read.
- On the $29 plan we then do the SEO and GEO pass: title, summary, headings, and an opening an answer engine can quote, with the dofollow link in context.
- The free page joins the queue once the badge is on your site. Five free pages go live each day. The $29 page goes live the day it is ready and does not take a free slot.
- The published URL is the record. It is listed on the homepage that day. On the $29 plan, the Pinterest pin goes up with it and links back to that URL.
Free plan badge
Place this on your site, linking to https://ledepress.com. The footer is a normal place for it. Keep it up while the Lede Press page is live. The $29 plan does not use this badge.

What we will not publish
A logo with no page to read, a link that points somewhere other than the product, or a draft that misstates what the product does. The editorial policy is the full list. A refusal of one draft does not close the account.

Questions
What do I send to Lede Press?
The product name, the URL the link should use, a title, a short summary, a body a person can read, the phrase in that body that should become the link, the categories, and whether you want the free plan or the $29 plan.
When does the $29 plan get the Pinterest pin and the optimization?
After the article is accepted and published. The SEO and GEO edit happens before the page goes live. The Pinterest pin is published when the article URL is live, and the pin links to that URL. The free plan does not include either.
Does saving a draft charge me?
No. A draft is private and it is not a charge. The free page joins the queue when the badge is on your site. Five free pages go live each day. The $29 charge applies when that plan is accepted, and that page goes live the day it is ready.
What is the free queue?
Lede Press publishes five free pages a day. A free page that is ready after those five are filled waits its turn. Paid pages do not wait in that queue.
